TNT's CLAWS

On the flip side of seeing Wonder Woman last week, I managed 20 minutes of TNT's new drama CLAWS. I've been to R-rated movies that were less explicit. Lord knows I'm not a prude, but this was pretty shocking to be on regular cable. I stopped watching not just because of the general raunchiness, but the fact that there was not a single character that I wanted to watch. What is it with TV shows now that feature primarily women and the women are all drug dealers or whores? Is that the only kind of woman who's supposed to be seen? Is this the result of so many reality shows that only film bad behavior? Is that how producers see women? Maybe it's a combination of all those things.

It's a shame, because I really like the lead actress as well as some of the supporting cast, but I couldn't stomach this show enough to even finish the episode.

Wow, it took long enough, but we finally got a decent Wonder Woman. I was very pleased with the movie. We got to see the genesis of Princess Diana and saw the evolution into the super hero Wonder Woman. Gal Gadot did a great job throughout and there was an excellent mix of humor, action, and drama. I have to say I was impressed and relieved.

I suspect there will be a whole parade of little Wonder Woman costumes this Halloween. That's not a bad thing.
